One might argue, but the #FessMustFall actually involved
everyone surrounded by social media. Students used hashtags to their advantage
of modern communication channels. The protest became
massive, because the #FessMustFall was running through twitter hashtags which
created awareness and to coordinate protests and launch petitions. By
comparison there were just over 6000 post on Facebook when the student campaign

Reaction towards the
#fessmustfall from organisations
Many organizations were involved but President Jacob Zuma
and the department of education had to stand at the edge of the situation and
try to resolve it. At first the #Fessmustfall reaction from the department did
not meet the standards of students, cause it was announced that the will be
6%increase. Until the students showed that they would not fall for half
measures made the #fessmustfall a massive hastag in SA, then President enounced
the will be 0% increase rate. feesmustfall
#FEESMUSTFALL was a successful campaign because at the end it was 0% increase rate and students actually won and got what they were fighting for. Let us all students fight for our education because tomorrow is our future.campaign success
I think the organisations took time to respond especially the government and the department of education, because they are the ones who take charge in education matters. The fees must fall campaign took time to end which led to exams to be postponed because the government did not what to meet the demands of the students. If the organisations reacted towards the situation fast exams would be written on time, students were not gonna get arrested and institutions were not going to be violated, all this happened because students thought the government did not want to give them what they need and this made students to fight more and the strike occurred for a longer period.
